David is a relative newcomer to the world of professional photography, having been a keen and competent amateur since his teenage years. David made a conscious decision to forge his new career two years ago in 2005, having worked hard and successfully in top London marketing and advertising agencies for 25 years as a senior client service manager.
"I couldn’t see myself carrying on in that industry for another 20 years, and a couple of professional photographers I knew both reassured me that I had the necessary creative eye and technical skills to produce that "special" level of composition that sets the professional apart from the amateur.
Two years on and I am loving my new-found lease of life: seeing the delight on my clients’ faces when I show them the results of their photo shoot brings home to me the joy that good creative photography gives people. I hope my work featured here on this website is able to speak for itself.
My newness to the role gives me a fresh and vibrant approach to my work; I believe this sets me apart from other photographers, whose years of experience is often matched by a jaded and faded view of the work they do; I take pride and delight in each and every commission I receive, and am dedicated to doing a great job, however large or small."
David also brings to his photography additional valuable business skills honed from his time in the marketing world, where he handled big-name clients as diverse as NatWest, BT, Coca-Cola, Honda, Telewest, Heinz and McVitie’s: The ability to communicate well and get on with people; a tight hand on all things administrative, and a recognition of the need to work swiftly to meet deadlines; but most of all, an unswerving commitment to keep the customer satisfied!
David has been happily married for 25 years and has two teenage children. He lives in East Sheen, London SW14.
